Polperro Beach

(Stones throw away!)

Polperro’s beach is regarded as one of the most charming and a lovely sun trap. The sandy beach offers stunning views of the cliffs and is a safe spot to play fetch with your dog. There is a cave that has history of being used as a smuggling den to hide valuables and highly sought after goods including salt and alcohol. It’s always worth checking with the locals when the best time to visit the beach will be as the tide can change throughout the day.

Talland Bay

(about 2 miles)

A lovely walk along the coastline from Polperro brings you to Talland Bay, a small sandy beach and a cafe that offers refreshing ice creams and lunches. This is a beautiful scenic day out and a chance to admire the Cornish coastline and wildlife. It is a small beach and depending on the café opening, can be a short lived trip but a rewarding and worthwhile hike!

Looe harbour

Looe Beach

(about 4 miles)

Another picturesque hotspot and a lovely day out for all the family. Located in Looe with wonderful array of coastal shops and a great place to enjoy fish and chips. Watch out for the seagulls!!

Although Looe beach is not dog friendly, just next door over the rocks is another stretch of coastline where dogs are very welcome. This is Limmicks Rocks and Beach and full of rockpools and little caves to explore.

Limmicks Rocks and Beach

(about 4 miles)

If you have your pet pooch along with you, although Looe beach does not welcome dogs, the neighbouring beach just over the rocks to the left offer dog friendly stretch of rocks and sand to explore and meet other dog walkers.
